All to salute the life of Doris McCarron
Doris Elaine Johnson was born on August 10, 1920, in Jackson, Minnesota, daughter of Nels and Julia Johnson. She was baptized in 1920 and later confirmed on 1935 both in Jackson. She attended country school from grades 1-8 and graduated from Jackson High School in 1939.

She was very active in the community as a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, Sherburn American Legion Auxiliary officer, organizer of the Holiday Festival events, member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and Release Time classes and held offices in LWML. Doris also took the school census for fifteen years and also worked at Seifert Drug and the Trimont Nursing Home. |
| Doris attended beauty school in Mankato and worked in New Ulm for one year before coming to Sherburn in 1942, where she worked at Saxton’s Beauty Shop an later Swift’s Beauty Shop. She was united in marriage to Peter D. McCarron on September 22, 1946 in Jackson. |
Peter died on December 7, 1976. She was united in marriage to Sylvan Krumwiede on January 3, 1985. Sylvan died on July 14, 2011. |
