| A Mother,
They Say
A Mother, They Say,
Wiped your dirty bottom clean,
Back before you toddled away.
She’d wash your mouth with soap anew
If somehow dirt got in there, too!
A Mother, They Say,
Can wash any dirty stuff away.
A Mother, They Say,
Was there with the first scab,
Would be there also for any rehab.
With her hands, arms, and shoulders,
So soft, yet could deflect harmful boulders.
A Mother, They Say,
Can heal any pain. Yes, she may..!!
A Mother, They Say
Can hear all, see all, know all.
Has value more than we can ever pay.
Like a mother bird, she protects the nest.
Only allows love, guards against the rest.
A Mother, They Say,
Raises her children, to fly away.
A Mother, They Say
Is about the best buddy, a child would need.
She’ll support her teenagers, as they get up to speed.
For all this giving and loving, we must give back.
For without our mothers, we would be off-track.
A Mother, They Say
Deserves the best, A Happy Mother’s Day!!
For all the mothers of the world, especially my mother, Doris who
raised six children including me. And for my wife, Becky, who raised four
children counting me.
