William was born September 6, 1944 in Sandwich, IL to William Arvil and Mary Jo (Morhman) Rupert He was a Seabee in the U.S. Navy for six years. He had worked in the rail yard in Broadview, IL. He was a member of Quad City Society of Model Engineers and Social Club of East Moline. He enjoyed model and full size trains. He also liked cats.
